This study examines the nuances of meat reduction within a Social Practice Theories (SPT)-inspired framework. Relying on comprehensive data from a cross-sectional survey in Hamburg, Germany, bivariate analyses (N=325) show that self-identified vegetarians exhibit a stronger commitment to animal welfare and sustainability and are more integrated into like-minded social circles than flexitarians.
